Here , Austrian born Franz Arthur Bischoff (1864-1929)has created an extraordinary rare beauty.....Handpainted with the vision known only to himself.....he was generous with his gift...sharing each painting with the world and teaching it's creation to his students.....likened to that of Franz Aulich,George Leykauf...

....learned skills applied with the gift of painting on porcelain continues throughout the decades.....where one glorious avenue of beauty is left to us as truly timeless treasures.....

He went to Vienna, in 1882, to further training in painting, design, and ceramic decoration. In 1885, he came to the United States....He founded the Bischoff School of Ceramic Art in Detroit and in New York City~he formulated and manufactured many of his own colors, participated in exhibitions and won awards, earning a reputation as "King of the Rose Painters."....

In 1908 he created his studio-home along the Arroyo Seco in South Pasadena, which included a gallery, ceramic workshop, and painting studio. In 1912 he took an extended tour of Europe where he studied the works of the Old Masters and the Impressionists.

His awards and acheivements are endless.....he loved his work....as seen with each one~of~a~kind creation....

This Old World Creation is in excellent condition , painted on the long sought after French Limoges European Hardpaste Porcelain bearing the Tressman & Vogt Limoges France mark #7 in green ca. 1892-1907....being handpainted and dated 1905 gives this extraordinary work of Antique Art a mere window of barely 13 years.....possibly less....

Almost a full 12" and still has the old iron wall hanger attached.....i opted not to remove it as it does add another piece of art history to this Rare Masterpiece.....
