Loetz Cobalt Papillon Crimped Rim Bowl

c. 1920 Loetz cobalt blue Papillon bowl measuring 6 5/8" top diameter, 2 3/4" high. The interior has a fabulous blue favrile type mirror finish, while the exterior has a mottled or speckled favrile treatment. The bowl has a ground and polished pontil as pictured with "Czecho Slovakia" acid mark in an oval, dating this piece to the 1920's. There are no chips or cracks, a few very tiny bubbles to the interior bottom. An outstanding piece of Bohemian Czech art glass by a very sought-after maker.
