A beautiful Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) open compote on high pedestal made by Adams & Company of Pittsburgh c. 1890. The pattern name is "Art" but is also known by the names Jacob's Tears, Job's Tears, and Teardrop and Diamond Block. It features rows of diamonds above large rounded ovals or "tears". It measures 8 3/4" high and has a top diameter of 9 1/2. This makes a fabulous centerpiece and can be used as a serving dish as well. It's in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.
