This large 8 1/4 " plate has a crisp image transfer printed in rich chocolate brown with great color polychrome hand painting, clobbering in shades of cinnamon brown, golden orange, and cobalt blue. The image is part of the Robinson Crusoe series coveted by collectors.

In addition to the entire ABC alphabet transfer with the classic Brownhills decorative transfer, this plate has a central image of Crusoe with his dog and cat at his feet and his pet Parrot perched on his hand. Our favorite of the Robinson Crusoe series.

Condition is excellent. No chips,cracks, hairlines or repairs. Clean and bright.

Plates like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools, as well. A lovely addition to your ABC collection.
