This 7 1/4 " plate has a crisp image transfer printed in rich chocolate brown with great color polychrome hand painting, clobbering in shades of cinnamon brown, wine red and cobalt blue. The image is part of the Robinson Crusoe series coveted by collectors.

In addition to the entire ABC alphabet transfer with the classic Brownhills decorative transfer, this plate has a central cartouche of Robinson Crusoe hard at work weaving a basket. He sits in his little cabin surrounded by his tools with a view of the ocean out the doorway.

Condition is Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. Plates like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools.
