This delightful small alphabet plate is transfer printed in brown. It measures 6" in diameter.
Along with the entire alphabet around the border, it has a wonderful image of a herd of thoroughbred sheep inside a fenced paddock with the forest in the background.
The plate is marked with a `Hotel' backstamp. It was made by Harker Pottery Company, East Liverpool, Ohio between 1890 – 1920.These adorable baby plates were made for advertising and giveaways at hotels and restaurants, made durable enough to withstand rough handling by babies children and juveniles. This particular plate also provides the name of the town of Ash Grove MO which had the plate made for tourists. A sweet image for Easter Spring and Baby gift giving.
Condition is excellent. Clean and bright. No chips, cracks, utensil marks or repairs.
