George Velezhev
George Velezhev was born in Saint Petersburg in 1959. His parents were diplomats, therefore George has lived almost all life outside of Russia. He studied to draw in India, in the same place and has received there the first recognition. George came back to Russia through the big spaces of time, and each time artist saw different country. George has devoted this big series of paintings named "My Russia". But nevertheless soul of artist belonged to the East - where bright paints of a nature can be seen almost at any time of a year! The artist travels over the East - India, Sri Lanka, Bali, islands of Indian Ocean, Singapore and Malaysia... Sometime George return to Russia. George names himself the `Citizen of the World', and it is justified. As the artist travels along the most beautiful places of the world a large part of time and he embodies the beauty of a nature on his bright cloths. Audience felt great admiration for colourful paintings by George Velezhev. Artist is compared to old masters of French school of impressionism. And really George Velezhev shows a new milestone in the development of one of the most favourite tendency in painting - impressionism.
George regularly takes part in exhibitions: Russia, India, France, Bangkok, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Netherlands...
