This is a very charming book written by Molly Elliot Seawell, the author of The Fortunes of Fifi and Children of Destiny, among others. It has several glossy color illustrations by Clarence F. Underwood throughout the book and on the front piece, which has onion skin protector. It was published by The Bobbs-Merrill Company in 1906. Interestingly, the book has a small sticker on the back end piece that tells us it was sold by Smith Bros. Books, Kodaks, Stationery, Pictures, 13th St., Oakland, Cal.
it is a pretty tight edition with pages in very good condition, no tears or spots, but yellowing a bit from age. it does have the previous owners name written on the front end piece and her name also on a small book plate. It 7¾" by 9¾" tall with 244 pages
The hard cover has gold lettering on front and spine. There is a inlaid illustration of stage coach and horses and an ornate design and border with oval inset of a beautiful woman (Arabella). There is a small amount of shelf wear to the cover.
A nice find and a pretty shelf piece.. Pleas ask questions it you have them. We can combine shipping.
