Deeds of Valor, Two Volumes, 1906
"...from records in the archives of the United States government; how American heroes won the medal of honor; history of our recent wars and explorations; from personal reminiscences and records of officers and enlisted men who were rewarded by congress for most conspicuous acts of bravery on the battle-field, on the high seas and in arctic explorations."
Extensive list of battle and engagements, illustrations (many in color), titles, Medal of Honor—men mentioned, and Medal of Honor winners.
Considering the age of these two books, they are in very good condition. The front boards in both books are slightly loose, but the binding is holding very well. I think it is just from the weight of both. There some corner wear (slight) and some yellowing. That's it!
Great books with great pictures. Just a great find! Please feel free to ask questions or for more pictures.
