Vintage Nightgown Peignoir Robe Sheer Pink Chiffon Sm Med Ruffle Hem Long

The nightgown has a little round neckline of double chiffon which also becomes the tiny cap sleeves just covering the top of your arms, as well as the yoke. Split in front, it has a long rolled nylon tie, looped and attached to each side of the opening to create a bow and close the nightgown. Two tiny little embroidered appliques' accent each side of the yoke.

Soft gathers under the yoke give the single layer chiffon nightgown a beautiful fullness. The nylon is a unique, almost waffle weave of sheer chiffon nylon. The vintage nightgown is long to the floor, with a ruffle of the same nylon chiffon accenting the hemline.

Matching peignoir is just as pretty! It has a huge five inch collar with rows and rows of the same chiffon ruffles. Three of the same appliques' from the gown decorate each side of the collar in front on the rows of ruffles.

Again, like the nightgown, the peignoir robe closes with the long rolled chiffon ties; this time two of them! one at the top of the neck, the other at the edge of the double chiffon yoke. The yoke extends over the shoulder becoming part of the raglan sleeves.

Sleeves are darling puffs of double chiffon and are elbow length. A thin cord inside holds the two layers in the puff. The peignoir robe is single layer chiffon to the floor, and has the same sweet ruffled chiffon hemline as the gown.

condition - Extremely gently worn, the only "issue" i find is on the gown, left shoulder. The seam is overstitched and intact, but the chiffon is double layer; one layer has come un stitched about 4-5 teeny stitches. The appliques have some curling, they most likely will iron flat. Labels are very tattered and faded, remarkable they are so worn, yet the set is in such nice condition.
