Vintage Nightgown Double Chiffon Tent Kayser Lace Accents XS S Full sweep

Two silky layers of sheer all nylon chiffon in a pure lemon yellow. Unique for its age, the gown has yellow satin ribbon straps, doubled and sewn so they are nice and secure, but not adjustable.

The gown has a vee neckline, accented with beautiful white lavish lace. The lace trails down the bodice on both sides as well as across the center ~ with another unique touch, the same yellow satin of the straps peeks through areas of the lace.

Extremely full with an enormous sweep for a knee or waltz length nightgown, the top layer of the chiffon repeats an applique of the white lace with a flower of it at the right knee. At the left knee is not only a lace flower, but a second applique of the lace with the satin under it. Just amazing style in this gown!

bust- 34 hips- 64 arm openings- 10= straps, 22 opening back, shoulders arm to arm- approx 13" length- 38 sweep- 74

condition - lovingly worn, it does have a few picks, and when held to the light i discovered a very small pin hole in the top layer. None of these "flaws" show and are lost in the fullness of the nightgown. the satin under the lace is a bit wrinkled, again from age. I have not tried to press it. The 60 year old nightgown did wash beautifully and is ready to wear.
