Charles Field Haviland Limoges Porcelain Powder Box Jar

This charming porcelain powder jar was produced between 1882 and 1900 by Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel who continued the Charles Field decoration mark through this time frame. The circular mark was originally the Charles Field mark and you can see there is also a CFH GDM France mark which assures me that it was Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel that decorated this piece and therefore confirms the dates.

The powder jar or trinket box has a white background with blue floral motif. There is a tiny remnant of gold in one area which I believe may have simply been something added by an owner later and should clean off easily, however I am leaving it intact just in case it was original to the box.

This piece measures 4 1/2" in diameter and about 2 1/4" tall. It is in good condition but does show some very minor nicks around the rim of the lid.

Item ID: Li-Ha-Powder
