I am proud to be able to offer you this fantastic example of Bohemian art glass at it's best. This piece is an Acid Cut Back Cameo glass vase which was produced by Harrach in the Victorian era.
It features a cranberry or ruby colored glass over crystal. The ruby has been cut back to form a raised design of flowers in a sea of frosted crystal. There are gold scrolling accents to the top and bottom of the cut back panel, and gold adorning the flowers and leaves also.
This piece measures a wonderful 9 7/8" tall and about 5" diameter at the widest point. It is in very good condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. There is some light gold loss, especially to the wreath of leaves that adorn the top and bottom of the vase. There are also some anomalies on the base which I believe were caused by the acid cut back and are not chips.
