Frank Oda Hawaiiana Glass Plate Sand Carved Shell Ginger Flower Vintage Art Glass

This vintage Hawaiian art glass plate is decorated with a stunning Shell Ginger plant which was designed by Frank Oda for Hale Pua "Arts Hawaii" which he himself founded.

his work dates back to the 1940s and this piece is a stunner. Sparkling crystal clear glass with a slight green tint this piece is a small serving plate measuring 7 3/4" square. It has slightly upturned sites forming a shallow bowl shape.

In excellent condition this piece has one noticeable scratch in the center of the underside and one tiny pinpoint nick on the rim. These are certainly not flaws enough to keep it from joining a fantastic collection or a simple home.
