This exquisite example of antique Flow Blue earthenware was produced in Stafford, England by New Wharf Potteries circa 1890-1894. The piece is a vegetable serving bow decorated with their Verona pattern and it is fully marked on the base. This beautiful bowl has a rich cobalt coloring which flows into the white background. The Verona pattern has gorgeous floral designs and a raised, scrolled border around the rim. This bowl would display fabulously in a collection or a period home.
The bowl measures 9" in diameter and 1 3/4" in height. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks and very minimal wear from age. There are three stilt marks on the inside of the bowl from the manufacturing process, and three more on the base.
