This unusual pair of art glass bottles are likely Bohemian in origins, and were probably produced in Czechoslovakia or the surrounding area. They are Antique pieces which date back to the mid to late 1800s. They were hand blown and they each have a pontil on the base. The stoppers have been ground to a point at the tip before they were adorned with gilding which has worn away somewhat over the years. The body of the bottles are decorated in elaborate gold gilding as well as enameled flowers and amber beads.
These bottles may have originally been scent or perfume bottles. Each one measures 8" in height including the stoppers and 1 3/4" in diameter. The bottles and stoppers are original to each other, as indicated by matching numbers painted on each piece.
In aged but very good condition this bottles have no chips or cracks other than a few small nicks at the bottom of the stoppers. These cannot be seen when the stoppers are in place. There is some wear to the decoration and a few beads missing but considering the age of the bottles they are still an exquisite set to add to a collection.
