Fenton Crystal Velvet Empress Vase Asian Princess 1970s Vintage Art Glass

This beautiful art glass vase was produced by Fenton between 1977 and 1980, though the design goes back decades earlier. The Vase has a raised design of an Asian princess, a duck, cherry blossom trees and a bridge. It reminds me a little of the famed Blue Willow pattern.

The vase is Crystal Velvet, which is a frosted or satin crystal which lends itself well to this relief style of design. It measures 7 5/8" in height and 5 1/2" in diameter at the rim.

This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. It is signed with the Fenton in an oval mark on the base, though this is hard to see due to the acid etch process that frosts the glass.
