Vintage Toffee Tin King George VI 1937 Portrait Palace Queen Mum Lithograph

This fabulous vintage tin is my favourite of the selection I recently acquired. It is a souvenir of the coronation of King George VI and his wife Elizabeth. These are the parents of the current Queen Elizabeth and I just love seeing the portrait of a young Queen Mum as she was such a major figure in my life as I grew up in England.

This tin was produced for Walter's "Palm" Toffee, the companies name is on the back of the tin. The lithograph image shows a portrait of the King and his wife as well as an image of the Guards parading in front of Buckingham Palace. The occasion is written on the front of the tin in gold coloring along with roses, thistles, and clover leaves to represent the countries of Britain.

This piece measures 6" long, 3 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" in height. It is in vintage condition with wear as shown in the photographs but the image is still very clear and bright and it would make an excellent display piece.
