Royal Munich Bavarian Porcelain Bowls Hand Painted Fruits Gold Antique Set 6

This elegant set of antique porcelain bowls were produced by Zeh, Scherzer & Co and hand decorated by an unknown decorating company that used the shield mark seen on the underside. Each of the bowls are hand painted with a high quality still life rendition of fruits including Grapes, apples, plums, peaches and raspberries. The rim of each piece is adorned with a flowing gold colored border. There are 3 sets of 2 of each design, each bowl measures 5 3/4" in diameter and 1 3/4" tall.

Zeh, Scherzer & Co (aka Z. S & Co) was established in 1890 and changed to a limited company in 1910 so I believe we can accurately date the production of these bowls to the end of the Victorian era.

The work in these pieces is exceptional. The porcelain is delicate and the hand painted designs are highly detailed in rich colors. The set is a rare gem to add to any collection, and I'm particularly pleased that it is till a complete set!

Each of these bowls are in exquisite condition. I find no chips, nicks or cracks at all. The gold border and imagery are intact and unworn as if they were made yesterday. They would make an astounding wedding or anniversary gift to be treasured and passed on through the generations to come.
