Hand Blown Purple Opaline Art Glass Condiment Bowl Attached Plate

This interesting condiment or mayonnaise bowl has a striking purple opaline coloring to it, with a semi translucence that creates a shimmer of varying hues as the light shines through it. It is a hand blown piece, excellently executed, but I have no idea where it may have originated. It's possible that this piece is Italian in origins or it could have been produced by an American glass studio.

The cup and plate of the condiment bowl are attached together and were made this way. The bottom of the piece does not have a pontil mark, but instead has a faint crosshatching from the annealing ovens surface.

This piece measures 6 1/4" in diameter and 3 3/4" in height. In excellent condition it has no chips, nicks or cracks at all.
