Victorian Cabinet Card Photograph of Young Woman 1890s

This Victorian era antique Cabinet Card features a striking young woman with upswept curly hair and strong features. She is wearing a lovely dress with puffed sleeves and extraordinarily large lapels.

The photograph was likely taken by Frederick Bushnell who ran Theo C. Marceau's San Francisco branch while Theo himself swanned around the world in style. Theo first established the San Francisco studio in 1888 and Frederick left in 1893 which provides a short period of time to which we can date this image.

The photograph is marked "Enamel Finish" at the bottom and I believe this is an Albumen print which is affixed to a cardboard backing.

The Cabinet Card measures 6 1/2" by 4 1/4". In very good condition it has a slight yellow tint to the photograph (I'm not sure if it was produced this way or if it's age) and there is a little sticker residue at the top of the reverse side and a small tear where a price tag was removed also on the reverse.
