These are three of the most beautiful Art Nouveau postcards ever produced. They belong to a series of four postcards depicting the four seasons published by A. Sockl Vienne. The postcard depicting Summer shows a beautiful maiden in rich peachy pink and green skirts balancing a golden wheat sheaf across her milky shoulders. The postcard depicting Spring shows a delicate blonde maiden clothed in a fine floral print, balancing a bird cage while birds surround her. Finally, the postcard depicting Winter shows a dark haired beauty in a light mauve dress with a shawl of soft green around her shoulders. The postcards date to the early 1900's and are in very fine condition. They all have undivided backs and are postally unused. They are titled "Printemps" (Spring),"Ete"(Summer)and "Hiver"(Winter),respectively. Each card is marked on its side: "A. Sockl,Vienne 1, Series 111. Nos. 17, 18 and 20". What a wonderful find for the postcard collector. Alternatively, these would make a spectacular gift and are suitable for framing.
