Edwardian Sterling Playing Card Holder, Birmingham

A well crafted repousse engraved double deck playing card holder dates to 1904.

The case is wonderfully ornate and very well executed by the Maker W. Deakin. A large polished cartouche to the center of the front remains clean. In box form, this stands 7cm high x 5cm across & 4cm deep.

There are 2 original decks that came with this box - a little the worse for wear and we have just ordered clean cards that will also come with the package.

CONDITION: Very fine overall condition with no damage to note. Underside is polished and shows shelf scratches. Hallmarks are present and difficult to photograph as they're tucked into the decorative work front, just under the rim on the left hand side. Weight by scale: 45 grams. Edwardian, circa 1904.

Our Silver smalls are always nicely presented and shipped at no charge to our clients.

Lovely on the card table - and easy compact so it's easy to travel with these.

We are happy to have this personalized for you on request.
