Very Rare Match Strike/Sovereign Case, Sterling - circa 1897

These combination Match Cases with Sovereign Holders are becoming hard to find - and we've stumbled upon two!

This one measures 3.25" x 1.25" x .50" (length includes the large top bale.) Nicely engraved on all sides, it is marked for Birmingham and was made by Miller Bros.

CONDITION: Overall very fine antique condition with a small dimple in the clean cartouche. Personalization - or a family crest would easily camouflage the dint and we will be happy to have the engraving done for you upon request. Price consideration has also been given to the dint. All appropriate Hallmarks on the rim of the coin holder. Weight by scale: 50.4 grams.

Our antique & silver smalls are always nicely presented and shipped at no charge to our clients.

A lovely find for the serious Collector - and with the bale, this would also work well attached to a watch chain or chatelaine.
