A beautiful bangle is hand engraved in foliate form with a single bird amidst the vines.
The bangle is red gold with the engraving motifs being in yellow & green gold. The bangle is finished in a lovely engraved border. Scenes are similar but not identical on the two sides.
Measuring 57mm across x 45mm bottom to top (interior measurements) this bangle fits a wrist of 5.5"-6.5" comfortably. It is 15mm (just over .50" wide) with a thickness of 3mm. Interior is high polished. Hinge opens and closes properly and locks into place. The bracelet is further secured with a safety chain.
CONDITION: Fine to very fine antique condition. There is one small dint near the lock, and otherwise would be rated excellent antique condition. No Marks that we can find. Tests to 14K-15K variably. Beautifully constructed, finished inside and out. Tongue and groove closure functions as it should. No warping or misalignment. Refined and very detailed engraving. Weight by scale: 18.8 grams. 19th Century. Origin is unknown.
