This elegant sterling bucket measures 6" tall not including the drop down basket style handle.
The sterling frame holds a removable cut glass insert, appropriate for an ice bucket, but it also allows for you to use this as a very pretty vase (perhaps stuffed with wild flowers) - or even as an unexpected and fun serving vessel. I like the unexpected - and, as with my own fine pieces, I enjoy those most that I can use in various capacities instead of the pieces squirreled away to be pulled out of a cupboard, to be cleaned, and then finally used only for an occasional single purpose.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with no dints, damage, chips or repairs. Very nicely detailed lattice body with delicate cut outs and engraving to the top and bottom bands. I cannot decipher the Maker's Mark but there is a logo - a bird, and of course it is marked for Sterling. Edwardian. Early 20th century.
An elegant & quite sexy little bucket - perfectly sized to suit an intimate party of 2, 3 or 4.
