Antique Silk Stevengraph ** The Start / The Finish ** 1880's

A great pair of woven silk picture's by Thomas Stevens. "The Start "and "The Finish". They measure 2 X 5 7/8 ins and framed measures 6 1/8 X 9 ins.The card mount states Woven in silk by Thomas Stevens ,inventor and manufacturer ,Coventry and London ( Registered ) The back label states address as 114 Newgate Street, London, plus a listing of nineteen pictures woven.The condition is very very good. The only issue are two pin head dots on The Finish.I think They have been re-framed, my guess is about 40 years ago.Will not find in better condition.
