RARE Ethiopian Black Cloth Boudoir Doll (French)
Rarely in my travels have I found a black skinned cloth boudoir doll..The smoking ladies are collectible and highly sought after but an exotic black doll is rare.Her long cotton print dress is golden trimmed to match the laces on her legs and around her neck.Her beautiful face leads me to presume she is Ethiopian as from that exotic country hailed The Queen of Sheba who captured the heart of the biblical King David.
She wears a cotton crinoline and orange satin trim around her bodice and waist..brass hoop earrings and a turban on her head.Wearing her original costume she measures 24 inches in length..Good vintage condition from a estate in the United Kingdom.
