Black Onyx - Graduated and Faceted with Vermeil and 14K Gold-Fill Necklace and Earrings Set

Black Onyx is a black microcrystalline quartz. It is thought to provide spiritual inspiration, and allow the control of emotions and reduce stress in the wearer. It is the alternate birthstone for the month of February, and the anniversary gemstone for the 10th year of marriage.

14K Gold-Filled (14K GF) beads are made by bonding a layer of 14K gold with high pressure and heat to base metal and then shaped as desired. Industry standard requires that the quantity of gold be at least 1/20th of the total weight and the Karat measurement must be marked.

Vermeil is sterling silver heavily electroplated with 22K gold.

Length: 19 inches.

Beading Wire: 0.19"/49 strand midnight black coated stainless steel professional quality beading wire with 14K gold-filled crimps, crimp covers and gold tone wire guards.

Bead size: From 20 mm (about 0.75 inch) to 10 mm (3/8th inch).

Clasp: Round Vermeil toggle clasp.

Earrings: 1 and 7/8th inches long, geometric ear hooks and other metal components are of 14K GF, the spacers are Vermeil. All ear wires from Sundancegems come with a clear medical grade PVC ear clutch or stopper. These fit snug on the ear wire, and prevent you from loosing your earrings.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
