Opaline glass is a style of glass made in France from 1800 to the 1890's. Most all Opaline glass is not branded or signed. It was most popular thru the reign of Napoleon III in the 1850's and 1860's. This round box is a very pretty color. Pictures do not do it justice. This is a old antique piece of Opaline glass. The box is near perfect. The lis has some extremely tiny nibbles on the rim. The box has just as tiny nibbles on the rim. about four of them. Definitely not noticeable. My list price will reflect this minute damage. the lid actually has a design that is starlike of eight leaves in a circle. It is all the same color and I dont know if it was any other color or gold???? This piece is hand blown Opaline. Actually all Opaline is hand blown. This lovely piece is a bit over 2 1/2" tall. It is about 4 1/2" across. Please ask any questions.
