Sublime opulence defines this stunning Edwardian winter coat. Warm as it is luxurious, the lavish large sable fur collar turns up to wrap the entire head in soft furry warmth. Constructed from a lush and velvety velour like wool blended fabric that might be mohair I am thinking, with ridges similar to a course corduroy. There is a hidden insulation layer and then a checked silk lining.
The sleeves are belled culminating in sable trimmed cuffs and it closes in front with a large button up high and a single hook at the waist. There is a store label from the Frank Stein boutique in Oshkosh, Wis., a well known upscale shop during the old lumber baron days...
Outside dimensions measured while lying flat: 44" bust (from arm pit seam to arm pit seam straight across), 50" hips, 16" across the shoulders and 24" sleeves, 50" overall length (from top of the back collar to the bottom of hem).
Condition is EX used vintage with no holes, tears, stains, repairs or wear to mention. Of note, the fur is incredibly fresh and supple with no splits or dryness.
