1940's-50's Tonak Zephry Seal Velour Felt Fedora Men's Vintage Hat
Tagged a size 6 7/8 with the head opening measuring 7.5" front to back and 6.25" side to side. The brim is a striking 2 3/4" inches wide and there is a 2" black grosgrain ribbon.
The internal head band is marked "Tonak Plant Huckel Made in Czechoslovakia", and a store label reading "Imported by Boynton's Palmer House Chicago",
Condition is EX used vintage and would be NM if not for a few small moth nibbles on the bottom side of the brim. The pin head nibbles only effect the nap of the velour and are pretty hard to notice.
Otherwise it is in pristine condition with no signs of use wear or other damage. The fine white silk satin lining is immaculate-- bright and fresh with no stains, holes or marks. The leather head band is super soft and supple with no stains or cracks. Looks like a never worn hat and one put away very safely all of these years.
