Magnificent Edwardian Purple Silk Vintage Hat
A magnificent Edwardian small brim hat made from a fine purple silk and a coarse weave light purple ribbon material that is made from horse hair I believe. A large size, able to accommodate the large hair of the day, measuring 23.5" in inside diameter.

Condition is GD used vintage with the horse hair ribbon being completely sturdy and wear free while the silk does show edge wear but is stable with no splitting or fragility. The lining has been replaced I'm pretty sure but it was done professionally and looks great. Overall, the hat is very clean, fresh, sound and eminently wearable.
