This 54" round mahogany dining table has a delicately carved gadrooned or rope carved edge. There are 3 leaves, each measuring 12" wide. Even the leaves are rope carved! With all the leaves in, the table measures 7' 6" long. The table will accommodate additional leaves, if desired. The table base comes in 2 sections and divides when opening for leaves. This provides necessary support to the table when expanding to long lengths. The boldly turned base has deeply carved central medallions. The dramatically arched legs have boldly carved acanthus leaves and paw feet. The table glides open and close smoothly. The table is extremely sturdy. The finish is in excellent condition except for a small ½ inch burn mark on its top. This is only noticeable upon close inspection. We currently have a set of 7 dining chairs and several china closets or breakfronts, which would look fabulous with this table. 30"h X 54"w X 54"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1880's.
