Triple Tablet Column Clock, Seth Thomas
This handsome 8-day weight driven clock is referred to as a triple tablet and was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. The case is rosewood and retains its original finish. The bold ogee style cornice sets above 2 gold half columns. The top door has its original glasses. The hand painting of flowers is original and in very good condition with minor flaking on the sides. The painted metal clock face is original and also in very good condition with only minor flaking. The hands and works are original. The bottom door has its original glass of painted fruit and is in excellent condition. Inside this door is the original Seth Thomas label, which is in very good condition with some loss. The weights are original. To the right and left of this door are sleigh style half columns. There is a small chip of veneer missing on the back right and left of the base. This clock is in excellent running condition and strikes every hour. 31"h X 18.5"w X 6"d, Condition-Very Good, Circa-1860's.
