Small, Victorian, Bride's Basket, W/Silverplate Stand
Here we have, a nice, small, Bride's Basket, with a silverplate stand.
The bowl measures 5 3/8" wide, 2 7/8" high, and has a 2 7/8" base, with rounded edges.
It dates to 1880, and can be found in the 2002 Victorian Decorative Glass book, on page 210. The maker is Stuart & Sons Limited!
The stand is silver plate, and is marked Walker & Hall, Sheffield.
It measures 6" x 6" side to side, and is 6 1/2" from corner to corner.
It stands 5 1/2" high at the handle.
The bowl is described as a cross grid pattern with pincered work and 8 way crimp, in the book, and has a band of applied glass around the center with a fan pattern, where it sets in the holder!
Great condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The stand was polished by the previous owner.
The feet on the stand look like claw feet, with scroll work above!
Great, small piece, in excellent condition, for being 130+ years old.
Great for a collection, or as a gift!!
