Here we have, for your consideration, a very nice, pottery foot warmer. It was made by Dorchester Pottery Works, of Boston, Mass., and dates to 1900-1912. It is marked on the front, in blue ink stamp, HENDERSON, FOOT WARMER, and at the bottom it is stamped with, DORCHESTER POTTERY WORKS, BOSTON, MASS. The inlet for filling is all metal, with the cap still having the seal, and part of the chain that would have connected to the one around the bottle neck, but that part is long gone. There is one flake off of the back side at the bottom edge, which is shown in one of the photos. It measures 11 1/2" high, 6 1/2" wide, and is 6" thick, The back is flat, so it can be lain down and won't roll around. Very nice, and very old piece! Great for a collection, or you can still use it!!!!!
