Vintage Lenci Type Felt Purse Doll

10" Vintage Lenci Type felt purse doll. Lovely lady with brown painted eyes glancing to the side and a closed mouth with red painted lips. The face of doll is a type of cloth stockinette. She has a blonde mohair wig in braids and a straw wide brimmed hat. The pink felt skirt of the doll forms the purse which zips up in the back. See Photo. There is a pink felt strap to hold purse. The top of doll wears a white rayon blouse and she has a black felt waistband. A white nylon apron covers the front of felt skirt. Doll's arms are cloth. Inside of the purse is stuffed with old newspaper from 1955 from Detroit Michigan. The bottom base of purse has a cloth tag with "Italy" written in ink. Doll is unmarked. She is in beautiful clean condition for a cloth doll. Her clothes have bright color and there are no stains or tears in the fabric. There is a very small moth hole in the back of purse on the pink felt but it is small and does not detract. The straw is perfect on her hat. Circa 1950's. Unusual Italian purse doll looks great and stands nicely on her own.
