William R. Davis Oil Painting "View from Ocean Point, Boothbay, ME"
This beautiful oil marine painting was painted by contemporary American artist William R. Davis (1952-). Davis was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, grew up in Hyannis Port, MA and became well-known in New England and across the country as a self-taught artist of luminist marine and landscape paintings. Oil on panel, signed lower left, also signed on verso along with inscribed title "View from Ocean Point, Boothbay, ME", and housed in a complimenting new gold frame. Dimensions: 8" h x 10" w, actual; 12 ¼" h x 14" w, framed.
