William R. Davis Oil Painting “Windy Day, Echo Lake” Franconia, NH

This colorful oil painting of Echo Lake in New Hampshire was painted by contemporary American artist William R. Davis (1952-). Davis was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, grew up in Hyannis Port, MA and became well-known in New England and across the country as a self-taught artist of luminist marine and landscape paintings. Oil on panel, signed lower left, also signed on verso along with inscribed title "Windy Day, Echo Lake, Franconia", and housed in a black wooden frame with gold interior accent. Dimensions: 5" h x 7" w, actual; 12 5/8" h x 15" w, framed.
