Harold Von Schmidt Oil Painting Tugboat Annie Sat Eve Post

This interesting painting illustration was painted by Harold Von Schmidt (1893-1982). Von Schmidt was born in Alameda, California and later moved in life to the East Coast, where he became well known as an illustrator for several major magazines, including Saturday Evening Post, Sunset, Cosmopolitan, and American Magazine. This illustration titled "Tugboat Annie" appeared in the 12/8/51 issue of Saturday Evening Post. Oil on canvas, monogrammed and dated lower right, and housed in a simple gold accented wooden frame. Dimensions: 30" h x 40" w, actual; 32 ¾" h x 42 ¾" w, framed.
