This New England oil painting of a covered bridge was painted by American artist Harry Leslie Hoffman (1871-1964). Hoffman was born in Cressona, PA and spent much of his life in Old Lyme, Connecticut, where he became well-known for his landscapes and still life paintings. Oil on artist's board, signed lower right, estate stamp on verso, as well as a label with title "Saxton's River Vermont" inscribed, housed in a gold painted wooden frame. Dimensions: 18" h x 24" w, actual; 23" h x 29", framed.
