This detailed city map of Cincinnati, Ohio is titled “Plan of Cincinnati and Vicinity”. The map shows wonderful detail of streets, railroads, and rivers around the city with a terrific floral vine border, typical of Colton’s atlas maps of that time. The lower left reads “Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1860 by S.Augustus Mitchell, Jr in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the U.S. for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The number 37 appears in the lower right corner. The map is in very good condition, with normal toning, slight waviness, nicely double-matted under glass and housed in a gold decorative frame. Dimensions: 11” x 11 ½”, sight: 16 ½” x 17”, framed.
