Historic Charleston Creamware with Pink Luster Child’s Cup (reproduction)

A reproduction creamware small cup with pink luster and black print of `The good Childs reward'. I had four of these, but now have just two left. The price listed here is $26 per cup and one can purchase either one of both cups. They were produced for the Historic Charleston Foundation by Mottahedeh about 20 to 25 years ago and are very collectible. It is about 2 1/4 inches tall and has a rim diameter of just under 2 1/4 inches excluding the handle (see photos). The luster is added by hand and the glaze displays slight crazing more similar to much older antique Staffordshire creamware than for a cup made more recently. Neither cup has any damage or repairs and both are in almost new condition (these cups were acquired in used condition at an estate sale).

The cylindrical shape of these cups along with their handles makes them fit the 'can' label in the original terminology of 18th century potters, however their small size also places them in the child cup category. These little cups would display well along a shelf, window ledge or on a counter, table or in a hutch. They also can make a nice gift for the special cup collector or history buff. And as always, each cup also comes with my Docs Antiques 100% satisfaction guarantee or you may return your purchase if it does not meet your full approval (see details in my return policy noted below).

SIZE: Each small handled mug is about 2 1/4 inches tall and has a rim diameter of just under 2 1/4 inches excluding the handle (see photos).

CONDITION: This cup is perfect with NO chips, NO hairlines, NO stains, NO repairs and NO restorations.

SHIPPING: All US mainland buyers pay $8.80 for well packed and insured USPS Standard Post (this is an estimated savings of about $1 to $2 since insurance is also INCLUDED in the above quoted amount for all mainland US addresses). And if you live in Texas or an adjacent state, simply email me for a revised quote. A faster shipping option is also available, too (see shipping section below for Priority Mail option). No handling or packing fees are ever charged and fragile items will be double boxed for maximum protection. All international buyers will pay only the exact shipping costs for all verifiable locations outside the continental US mainland. Please note that import duties, taxes and other charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs and these additional charges are the Buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing this item -- thanks.

RETURN POLICY: Satisfaction and peace of mind are guaranteed for all Docs Antiques Ruby Lane listings -- please refer directly to our Service Pledge and our Return Policy for full details. And this means that if you are unhappy with your purchase, then you may return it by sending the item back undamaged and post marked within ten days of original receipt for a refund (certain shipping costs are non-refundable). Items damaged during shipping are covered by insurance and while this rarely happens because we pack well, we will gladly help you file your insurance claim should it ever be necessary (we have not had any claims for damage from shipping in many, many years). Of course, never send an item back that was damaged by shipping since that will void the original insurance. Instead, contact us for help and we will gladly assist.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: We accept checks on US Banks (no temporary checks, all checks must have 9 digit routing code; item ships after check fully clears), USPS money orders, PayPal or contact us with your verified address for more options. If you wish to use a credit card by way of Paypal, that option becomes available after you submit a Ruby Lane purchase order (see Terms of Sale for additional information). Once submitted, a PayPal icon will appear at the bottom of this listing and then you may proceed from there if you wish to pay via Paypal. Thanks for looking and do come back and visit again when you have more time to browse again.
