A quantity of Underwood vintage stereocards of Scotland, produced in England in the early 20th century. It consists of 39 cards, which are all from the 100 series of 'Scotland through the Stereoscope'. There is a box, which is titled Stereographs.
The images are all in average to good condition, with clear, sharp photos with medium contrast. The grey curved mounts are also all good, with some slight bumping on a few of the corners and some with scuffing on the back.
They are numbered and titled on the front, some with additional information on the reverse.
There are many images of Irish towns and villages with people in their daily lives, in traditional costume, as well as street scenes, farming scenes, markets, country scenes and city scenes including Edinburgh, Ayr, Glasgow and Dumfries. There is one card of a traditional Piper and 2 cards showing King Edward Vll in highland dress.
They were published and copyrighted by Underwood and Underwood around 1905.
Card Size approx 7x3.25ins (17.5x9cms)
The condition out of 10 I would estimate as Cards7, Box 5.
