A group of original photographs, with 6 various views of a train crash on the Soo Line in North Dakota in 1906.
I think the engine concerned is an E class 4-6-0 No. 500, which is hauling a passenger train and is lying on its side, apparently after colliding with some freight wagons.
The only reference I can find which possibly relates, is an article in the Glenwood Herald dated August 3 1906.
The images, were taken by an English family, who were on vacation in the area in 1906. They have excellent details, with good tones and contrast.
Overall Image Size (each image) approx 4.25x3.25ins (11x9cms).
