There are lots of abalone inlaid sterling silver pins from Taxco, but this little fish is really special. The pin is 1 3/8 inches long, is about 1 3/8 inches wide, and is very three dimensional rather than flat like most Taxco pins. On the reverse side the piece is signed with Maricello Tasco Hecho en Mexico 925. It has a well attached safety clasp. The condition is fine with some very minor chips of abalone missing, but not significant enough to impact on the appearance of the pin. We have not polished it as the patina is starting to develop nicely into the quality that is so highly sought after by collectors of Southwestern and Taxco silver. This is not your standard production quality Taxco silver, but has good quality and a great look to it. You will love to wear this beautiful pin and listen as the compliments roll in.
