If you collect railroad memorabilia, then you will need to have this nice set of two framed blueprints with instructions for paint schemes for painting the designs on cabooses and passenger cars for the Boston & Maine Railroad. Each framed page measures 8 by 10 ½ inches and has three holes where they were originally part of a looseleaf binder. They are both original pieces and not reproductions. One is dated 1941 and the other is dated 1943. Both provide details with regards to placement of lettering on the cars along with required paint colors. They are both already framed and ready to hang. The frames are painted Tuscan red and then over-washed with gold designed to give an antique look. The frames measure 11 1/4 by 13 ½ inches. The condition of each item is very good. The frames are done in an informal manner and there are some minor dings and blemishes on them. The pages show the minor yellowing and dirt that are accumulated with age and use. These are a fascinating glimpse in railroading in the U.S. and the railroad enthusiast in your house will love these items.
