Sweetpea Cottage is offering this marvelous publication advertising a cruise around South America in 1930 on the ship S.S. Samaria, leaving on February 1st, 1930. The cruise and booklet are put together by the Raymond & Whitcomb Company. The cover and pages are all in very good condition, but with the normal wear associated with a piece of ephemera that is about 75 years old. The cover has a very striking graphic illustration on it and is printed with a goldtone background. This terrific piece of ephemera depicts a bygone era of luxury travel through a very exciting part of the World.
The booklet measures 6 inches by 9 ½ inches with a total of 48 pages. There are many location shots of places in South America that the ship will visit, including Cuzco, Santiago, Martinique, La Paz, Barbados, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and much more. As a special bonus there is a nice photo of the Cunard liner S.S. Samaria along with a description of the vessel. We have scanned some of the photos, but there are many, many more that are just as spectacular as those shown here. You will not be disappointed with this item.
