Trio, Three Stories by Somerset Maugham, First British Edition, w/SCARCE DJ

Sweetpea Cottage is liquidating a collection of over 50 titles from a collection of books by and about the controversial author Somerset Maugham. Bookmark our shop so as to not miss any of the new titles as we list them in the coming months. Serious inquiries about buying the complete collection are always welcome.

This listing is for one of Maugham's more difficult books to obtain, the first English edition of Trio, published by Heinemann in London in 1950. Condition is VG++ with a Good dust jacket that is almost never present. Dust jacket has some chipping and tears along the edges along with soiling. Cover is red cloth with gilt printing on spine. There is a 1965 book catalog listing pasted into the front cover along with pencil notations. A rubber stamp in the front cover indicates that this book was originally purchased in Bombay. Pencil notations appear occasionally from a previous owner. This is your chance to obtain a very nice copy of a hard to obtain work by this controversial author.
